Sharp Mind

one more blog for people who like to work in flex

About

This blog will contain scripts and snippets from Flexcoders(Yahoo Group), Flex-India(Google Group), mailing group and other places in the internet. Which means, I am not the author for all of these, but some of these for sure :D . As I learn new stuff and pickup interesting stuff from around the internet and the other Flash/Flex Gurus out there, I store them here in this blog so that I can always check back for stuff filled away safely.

  3. In search of a Flex guru who also knows QTP…We realize that we cannot parameterize the Flex “Input” method because it’s a method of the Adobe Flex object, and not HP – developed. However, we need to be able to take a value that is input into a Flex textbox and make a parameter. Could you explain how to do that (and possibly using the TEAFlex.xml document)? What is the step-by-step procedure for parameterizing a Login user name and password? I tried using the Data Driver tool from the menu, but when I entered “username” as a constant, I get the following error (“There are no constants in the Action1 action with this value”. So the question is, how to create a Reusable Action that is table driven with various user names and passwords? Also, how to encrypt a Flex control password, since it doesn’t support the SetSecure method? Thanks!

  4. Hi,
I am wondering if there are any examples of creating dynamic states. I am having a heck of a time trying to figure out how to do so. Any assistance in pointing me in the right direction would be really appreciated. Thanks.
